Cardboard Box Ideas

Furniture for Dolls

- As a mom of an eight month old and of a two year old; who at the time of these pictures was not potty trained, I get a lot of Pampers boxes on a weekly basis. They are awesome boxes to always go to waste. So, I started to make toys out of them, which my daughter LOVES playing with! It seems as though she likes my homemade toys way more than the store bought ones.

Supplies
 - Cardboard boxes
- Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
- Felt, foam, or construction paper
- Scissors
- Random junk you can find around the house that could possibly turn into a furniture masterpiece

Things We Made
- We made a dinner table, bath tub, shower, stove with oven, sink (not shown), toilet (not shown), beds (not shown). I am sure we will have more to come. She has played with these items for over six months now and they are still in great condition!

Mickey Mouse Club House

- We have had the Mickey Mouse Club House for about a year now. My daughter use to love the Mickey Mouse toy figurines. I looked online to buy a Mickey Mouse Club House and realized that they were pretty expensive. I was full blown pregnant and nesting at the time, so I decided to make one out of Pampers boxes instead! We had a blast making it together. My daughter had a say in creating it. She came up with the idea of a slide coming off the side of the building. She also came up with the dance floor idea. She still plays with it today and uses other dolls to play in it too. Overall, way more cheap and fun!

Supplies
- Hot Glue Gun
-Cardboard Boxes
- Scissors
- Foam board, construction paper, or felt
- Random items around the house that can be used to make mini furniture.

Cartoon Characters & Paper Dolls

Activity
1) Color in a coloring page if your artistic skills are not the best or draw a picture of your own if they are.
2) Cut out the picture
3) Glue it to the piece of cardboard & cut out the cardboard
4) Cut out a separate piece of cardboard for the base
5) Hot glue the picture to the bottom piece of cardboard

- My two year old daughter loves playing with her paper dolls! We cut out random pieces of cloth and play Prickly Pear Hunting with her Jungle Book Characters. They go hunting for random objects in the house. When they touch the object it sometimes is a Prickly Pear that pricks them when they are trying to eat it.  We wrap up their ouchey in cloth as a band-aide. My daughter likes to play doctor with her dolls!
